Education Can Never Come too Early
Research shows that the first three years of a child’s life can be crucial for long-term development. Community Action Early Head Start works to empower parents and caregivers to support and nurture their children. We have two different program options for Early Head Start.
Center-Based Early Head Start
Our center-based program provides infants ages 6 weeks to 16 months and toddlers ages 16 months to 3 years old with a safe, high-quality educational environment. Your child will grow and learn alongside their peers in a small group setting with no more than 4 children assigned to one teacher in a classroom of at least two teachers.
To participate in Center-Based Early Head Start, you must have funding through Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) or the Pathway 1 Early Learning Scholarship. Transportation is not provided. All children receive FREE formula or meals throughout the day and FREE diapers.
Home-Based Early Head Start
Our home-based program provides infants and toddlers a high-quality early childhood education program for income-eligible pregnant mothers and parents with new-born to three-year old children. With weekly ninety-minute visits to your home you will receive supports such as child development activities, information, and education; physical and mental health, dental, and nutrition education; and referrals to community resources.
